This is a very dynamic itinerary through which we will get to know Sri Lanka from north to south and from east to west. We will visit the most important cultural, historical and religious places, as well as make excursions to three different national parks. We will immerse ourselves in the beautiful tea plantations and enjoy the coast. At the end of the rest day tour in the paradisiacal beaches of the south of the island, rounding off a journey full of knowledge and emotions

1st day. Bandaranaike International Airport - Kurunegala - Habarana

(Approximate transfer time: 2 and a half hours)

Reception at the airport by our representative and transfer of about 2 hours and 30 minutes to the accommodation in Sigiriya

On the way we will stop at Lake Kurunegala to stretch ourselves with a walk and eat a snack

2nd day. Habarana - Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya Rock - Habarana

(Habarana - Polonnaruwa - Approximate transfer : about 1 hour and 3/4)

In the morning visit Polonnaruwa (s. X-XIII).

Founded in the 10th century AD, this ancient capital has left important architectural evidence of a very important moment in the history of Sri Lanka.

In the afternoon we will go up to Sigiriya Fortress

This huge magma rock hides the ruins of noble buildings and a breathtaking view on the top

We will pass through the Lions Gate and admire the state of conservation of the frescoes on the walls of the cave

3rd day. Habarana - Anuradhapura - Mihintale - Habarana

(Habarana - Anuradhapura approximatly 1 hour and half)

This day will be dedicated to another of the ancient capitals of the country: Anuradhapura. Founded in the 4th century BC, it is one of the largest archaeological sites in the world.

On the way back we pass Aukana where a statue of the Buddha 13 meters high is carved out of the mountain side(V century AD).

It is one of the pilgrimage sites of Sri Lankan Buddhists.

Legend has it that Mahinda, the son of King Asoka, attributes the introduction of Buddhism from India to Sri Lanka

4th day. Habarana - Trincomalee

(Habarana - Trincomalee approximatly 3 hours)

Transfer to the east coast of Sri Lanka to see the natural bay of Trincomalee, Visit to the Hindu temple of Koneswaram, dedicated to the God Shiva and enjoy the turquoise waters of Dutch Bay.


5th day. Trincomalee - Pigeon Island Marine Park - Trincomalee

(Trincomalee - Pigeon Island : transfer by boat about half hour)

The Udawalawe National Park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the reservoir catchment area.

6th day. Trincomalee - Dambulla - Kandy

(Trincomalee - Dambulla: about 4 hours)

Strategically located in the center of the Cultural Triangle Dambulla is a very active town, located in a purely agricultural region

We will walk around the lake surrounding the Temple of the Tooth and visit the typical market and traditional shops of the city

7th day. Kandy - Pinnawala elephant orphanage - Peradeniya Royal Gardens - Kandy

(Kandy - Pinnawala : about 1 hour)

In the morning we will go to the Elephant Orphanage created by the Government of Sri Lanka to welcome the orphaned or injured puppies encountered in the forest

The Peradeniya Botanical Garden or also called Royal Garden has its origins in the 14th century.

This vast expanse of trees and plants is one of the best travel sites in Sri Lanka.

We will admire the centuries-old trees and palm trees with the strangest shapes, Ayurvedic plants and the famous collection of orchids.

This vast area of 60 hectares is a place of relaxation and recreation for the Sinhalese where they come to stroll and spend the day with family, boyfriends or friends.

8th day. Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

(Kandy - Nuwara Eliya transfer approximatly 2 hours)

In the morning we will transfer to Nuwara Eliya, on the way we will visit the Ramboda waterfalls and a tea factory. In the afternoon we will contemplate the British colonial-style buildings of Nuwara Eliya and walk around Lake Gregory

9th day. Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains - Nuwara Eliya

(Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains : approximate transfer of 1 hour)

The Horton Plains National Park, popularly known as the Horton Plains, is a vast area of the central highlands of Sri Lanka.

It is a huge area covered with mountain pastures and rainforests that feeds on the Mahaweli, Kelani and Walawe rivers.

10th day. Nuwara Eliya - Train from Nanu Oya to Ella - Yala

(Nanu Oya - Ella : train to Ella about 3 hours)

Reached the station of Nanu Oya, a few minutes from Nuwara Eliya (8 km), we will board the train carriage in Ella.

11th day. Yala – Safari Yala National Park - Tangalle

(Yala - Tangalle : about 1 and a half hours)

We will participate in the Safari in the National Park mounted on a 4x4.

This huge expanse of land is divided into five blocks, which protect the habitat that goes from the bush to the lake areas near the sea.

12th day. Tangalle - Galle Fort - Tangalle

(Tangalle - Galle : about 1 hour)

Galle is the third most important city after Colombo and Kandy.

It was a Portuguese city in the 16th century and a Dutch city in the 18th century, the British also lived in the 19th and 20th centuries.

All these colonizers left an imprint, which is why it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Tangalle Beach is perfect and finding ways to occupy your time here is easy.

Swim, play beach games, sunbathe, fish, walk along the coast or visit the coral reefs offshore, a perfect place for diving.

(Tangalle - Colombo : about 2 and a half hours)

Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport at the appointed time, where we will arrive 3 hours before the departure of the flight
