Journey Overview
To make the route enjoyable for everyone, the cultural visits are kept very brief, so the children won’t get bored and can share the journey with their parents. This will create a unique experience for both children and adults throughout the 10-day circuit.
Daily Itinerary
Day 01. Arrival → Negombo City

Transfer time: 20 minutes
Day 02. Negombo → Kurunegala → Minneriya Safari → Sigiriya
Description & Accomadation
Negombo – Kurunegala – Sigiriya: 3.5 hours
- Stop in Kurunegala during the journey so children can relax and enjoy the lake, play areas, and local street treats.
- In the afternoon, go on a safari in Minneriya National Park to see large herds of elephants in their natural habitat.
Day 03. Sigiriya Rock - Rural Village Experience

Day 04. Dambulla Golden Temple - Spice Garden - Hindu Temple - Kandy

Sigiriya – Dambulla: 30 min each way
Day 05. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - Peradeniya Royal Gardens

Kandy – Pinnawela: 1.15h – Pinnawela – Peradeniya: 1h; Peradeniya – Kandy: 20min
- Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see elephants up close, especially during their river bathing time.
- Explore the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya, a beautiful green space perfect for relaxing and family time.
Day 06. Temple of the Tooth or Tea Fields - Traditional Dances

Day 07. Ramboda Falls - Tea Factory - Nuwara Eliya Train to Ella
Description & Accomadation
Kandy – Nuwara Eliya: 3 hours + train
- Travel to Nuwara Eliya, stopping to see Ramboda waterfalls and visit a tea factory, then explore Lake Gregory and the city’s British-style architecture.
- Take a scenic train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella through tea plantations and forests (subject to availability).
Day 08. Ella - Yala National Park Safari

Bandarawella – Yala: 2 hours
- In the afternoon, go on a safari in Yala National Park, the most popular wildlife reserve in Sri Lanka.
- Spot animals like elephants, peacocks, deer, crocodiles, and possibly the elusive leopard.
Day 09. Turtle Farm - Galle Fort - Unawatuna Beach

Tissa – Galle: 2 hours
- Stop at a turtle farm to learn about Sri Lanka’s sea turtles, then visit the historic Galle Fort for a scenic walk.
- Transfer to Unawatuna and enjoy its beaches, restaurants, cafes, and shops.
Day 10. Unawatuna - Colombo - Airport Departure
