Daily Itinerary
Day 01. Airport - Kurunegala - Anuradhapura
Description & Accomadation
Transfer time: 3.5 hours
- Welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport by your driver-guide, followed by a transfer to Anuradhapura.
- Stop in Kurunegala for refreshments by the city lake before continuing your journey.
Day 02. Anuradhapura ancient city by bike
Description & Accomadation
4 hours cycling
- Explore the ancient city of Anuradhapura by bicycle in a relaxed 4-hour tour, discovering its rich history.
- Visit UNESCO-listed landmarks including stupas, palaces, and sacred temples dating from the 4th century BC to the 10th century AD.
Day 03. Anuradhapura - Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya

- Explore Polonnaruwa on foot (approx. 4 hours), discovering a UNESCO-listed city from the 11th–13th centuries.
- See ancient temples, monuments, and impressive rock statues of Buddha and King Parakrama, showcasing medieval Sri Lankan heritage.
Day 04. Sigiriya Rock - Safari Minneriya P.N

- Climb Sigiriya Rock, a 360-meter-high ancient wonder known for its historical and cultural significance.
- Enjoy an afternoon safari in Minneriya National Park to see large herds of elephants in the wild.
Day 05. Trekking in Ritigala
Description & Accomadation
4 hours trekking
- Trek through Ritigala reserve (approx. 4 hours), exploring ancient temple ruins dating back to the 1st century BC.
- Discover the highest mountain in northern Sri Lanka (766m), known for its sacred and medicinal herbs.
Day 06. Habarana - Dambulla Golden Temple - Matale Trekking - Kandy
Description & Accomadation
2.5 hours + 30 minutes
- Visit Dambulla Golden Temple (1st century BC), a historic cave complex with rich cultural heritage.
- Enjoy a village trek in Matale through rice fields and spice plantations, ending with a refreshing river dip and spice garden visit.
Day 07. Kandy Hanthana - Temple of the Tooth - Udawatta Kele Forest
Description & Accomadation
30 min transfers
- Visit the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy to see the sacred relic of Buddha, a symbol of Sri Lanka’s heritage and faith.
- Explore Udawattakele Forest on a 2-hour walk, then enjoy free time to relax, stroll around the lake, or visit local markets.
Day 08. Kandy: Hantana Trekking

- Trek through the Hantana mountains (approx. 5 hours), walking along scenic tea trails and visiting a filming location of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
- Enjoy free time to explore nearby tea villages and experience local life at your own pace.
Day 09. Kandy - Peradeniya Botanical Garden - Ramboda waterfall - Nuwara Eliya
Description & Accomadation
2.5 hours + train
- Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens (14th century), featuring diverse plants and trees from around the world.
- Travel to Nuwara Eliya (1,868m) through tea plantations, with stops at Ramboda Waterfalls and a tea factory.
Day 10. Nuwara Eliya - Trekking: Horton Plains NP - Train to Bandarawela
Description & Accomadation
1.15 hrs + 4 hrs trekking
- Early morning trek in Horton Plains National Park (9 km, ~3.5–4 hours) with a picnic breakfast at “World’s End” and views of Baker’s Falls.
- Scenic train journey from Nanu Oya to Bandarawela, passing through tea hills and forests.
Day 11. Trekking Haputale Mountains: 1st day - Mountain Shelter

40 min transfer + trekking
- Travel to Haputale by train and begin a 2-day trek through scenic tea plantations and mountain landscapes.
- Arrive at a family-run mountain hut by mid-afternoon, enjoy dinner, and experience a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 12. Haputale Mountains Trekking: 2nd day with waterfalls - Ella
Description & Accomadation
50 min transfer
- Continue the second day trek with an early visit to Bambarakanda Falls, Sri Lanka’s tallest waterfall (263m), with time for sightseeing and photos.
- Transfer to Ella, a scenic town known for its relaxed atmosphere and mountain views to rest and unwind.
Day 13. Ella: Little Adam's Peak - Safari Yala N.P. - Tissa
Description & Accomadation
2.5 hours transfer
- Hike Little Adam’s Peak in Ella through scenic tea plantations with panoramic mountain views.
- Enjoy a safari in Yala National Park to spot wildlife including deer, elephants, peacocks, and possibly leopards.
Day 14. Tissa - boat ride Tissa Lake - Sithulpawwa - Kataragama Temples
Description & Accomadation
30 min transfers
- Take a peaceful boat trip on Lake Tissa Wewa, followed by a visit to Sithulpawwa ancient monastery with panoramic views over Yala National Park.
- Optional visit to Kataragama, a multi-faith pilgrimage site important to Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and Veddas.
Day 15. Mirissa Beach

- Relax at Mirissa Beach, enjoying soft sands, clear waters, and a laid-back coastal atmosphere.

Day 17. Mirissa - Galle - Airport

- Visit Galle Fort, Sri Lanka’s best-preserved colonial center, known for its cultural harmony and charming historic streets and squares.
- Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport, arriving at least 3 hours before departure for a smooth check-in.
