This is a 12-day route very focused on the best beaches in Sri Lanka and the water sports that can be practiced on the island. Young and old will fully enjoy this itinerary which includes lots of surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, diving, skornel and beach lots of beach

Long and exotic deserted beaches await you in Pasikudah and Kalkudah to do a little bit of everything: snorkeling in the beautiful coral reefs, surfing, diving, kitesurting….
There are few itineraries that travel the east coast of the country by car.
So, if you like discovering new places and exciting water sports, this is your itinerary!
The monuments are also exciting: Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa
And as is our custom, to get a global idea of the country, we have added the magnificent monuments of Sigiriya Rock and the city of Polonnaruwa
Arugam Bay: a surfer's paradise
And if this itinerary is fantastic, it’s because we have added a few days to Arugam Bay, a surfer’s paradise.
The waves of Arugam Bay are world famous in the surfing and kitesurfing circuits.
The high season of surfing runs from June to August.
At the very least, this is the best time to surf in Arugam Bay.
Which does not mean that they cannot be visited during the rest of the year and discover the wonderful beaches of this mythical bay

And for the adventure to be complete, this circuit has 3 safaris: one to see elephants in Minneriya National Park, another to watch leopards in Yala, and another to see birds in the Madu Ganga River.

day 1. Airport - Kurunegala - Sigiriya: rest
(Approximate transfer duration: 3 hours and a half)
Reception at the airport by our representative and transfer to the accommodation in Sigiriya.
Stop in Kurunegala to stroll around the lake and have a snack.
Afternoon to relax or to enjoy the hotel services, the swimming pool and the surrounding environment.
day 2. Sigiriya - Sigiriya Rock - Safari: MInneriya National Park - Sigiriya
(Approximate duration of each transfer: 30 min)
We will claim to Sigiriya fortress
This huge magma rock hides the ruins of noble buildings and a breathtaking view on the top
We will pass through the Lions Gate and admire the state of conservation of the frescoes on the walls of the cave
In the afternoon mounted on a four wheel drive, we will participate to this amusing Safari,
famous for the large herds of elephants that inhabit it.
Sometimes you can admire up to 300 elephant specimens
day 3. Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Passikudah e Kalkudah beaches
(Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa: 1 hour; Polonnaruwa - Passikudah: 1 hour and a half)
Visit by bicycle (optional) to one of the ancient capitals of the country, Polonnaruwa.
Among the ruins of Polonnaruwa (10th – 13th century AD) We will find gigantic sculptures of Buddha and Kings up to 15 meters high, old ponds and remains of what was once the royal palace.
All this enlivened by friendly macaques playing in the jungle that has always surrounded the old temples of Sri Lanka.
Founded in the 10th century AD, Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka and remained active until the beginning of the 13th century.
Then we will move to the very long Pasikudah Beach.
Also take the opportunity to stroll along the huge expanse of Kalkudah beach.
There are 14 km of virgin beaches interrupted, from time to time, by a beach bar.
Coral reefs are close to the beach, so swimming in the sea usually involves getting out enough.
day 4. Passikudah: optional activities: Snorkel, Surf, Kitesurf, dives, fishing and beach
(No displacement)
The coral reefs allow you to observe many fish, even for those who are initiated into this simple activity.
At about 25 meters deep we have the famous British Sergent, a 122-meter steamship that was sunk by the Japanese in 1942.
Magnificent corals and impressive schools of fish can be observed.
It is one of the best known diving spots in Asia.
This part of the country is still an undiscovered place for surfers and kitesurfers.
Be one of the first one to enjoy!
Contemplating the sunrise or sunset is in itself a good reason to visit this part of the country.
day 5. Passikudah - Arugam Bay: Surf and beach
(Passikudah - Arugam Bay: 3 hours)
The transfer to Arugam Bay along the coast in this part of the country is an unparalleled experience.
Very few have the chance to see so many pristine beaches, ethnic Tamil clubs and small fishing villages.
When you arrive in Arugam Bay you will still have time to surf or kitesurf.
Arugam Bay is a place of worship for fans and experts of these water sports.
day 6. Arugam Bay: Surf and beach
(No displacement)
Free day to practice Surf or Kitesurf.
Arugam Bay is basically known for being a surfer’s paradise.
The waves of Arugam Bay are world famous in the surf circuits.
The best time for surfing in Arugam Bay is from June to August.
day 7. Arugam Bay - Ella: excursion + 9 arches bridge
(Arugam - Ella: 2 hours and a half)
We will go up to Little Adam’s Peak.
It is a simple 30 minute walk around the tea fields, to enjoy the immensity of the mountains in this part of the island.
Then we will visit the nine arch bridge.
It is actually a viaduct bridge which is located in the vicinity of the famous town of Ella.
This much photographed bridge was completed in 1921.
And it’s one of the best examples of colonial-era railroad construction in the country.
day 8. Ella: excursion and tea factory
(Short transfers of 20-30 min)
Climb through the Ella Gap to enjoy the beautiful views of this range of mountains that surround Ella.
It is about 4 hours of easy excursion that will allow us to have a superior view of the famous Ravana waterfalls.
Later we will stop at a tea factory.
If you want to know how the famous Ceylon tea is processed, be sure to visit this factory where they will explain how the delicate tea leaves are processed.
day 9. Ella -: Safari: Yala National Park
(Ella- Yala: 2 hours and a half)
Yala National Park has the highest concentration of leopards in the world, as they have no predators.
In addition, you will be able to observe many elephants, crocodiles, buffaloes, black bears and many other animals.
day 10. Yala - Galle Fort - Bentota
(Yala - Fort: 2 hours and a half, Fort - Bentota: 1 hour and 15 min)
Galle is the third most important city after Colombo and Kandy.
It was a Portuguese city in the 16th century and a Dutch city in the 18th century, the British also lived in the 19th and 20th centuries.
All these colonisers left an imprint, which is why it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
day 11. Bentota - Safari: Madu Ganga river - afternoon free or Snorkel in Hikkaduwa (optional) - Bentota
(Bentota - Madu: 50 min)
Today we will take a fun boat safari in the mangroves of the Maduganga River.
We will visit an island with a short visit to a Buddhist temple and Cinnamon Island with an explanation of the cinnamon production process, from the tree to our table.
Rest of the day free to rest or to go to Bentota beach.
If not, you can do the following optional activity: Hikkaduwa National Park Coral Snorkelling.
This is one of two marine parks in the country.
In this park, which is home to one of the best coral reefs in Sri Lanka, you can snorkel to observe turtles, colourful fish, seahorses …
day 12. Bentota - Colombo - Airport
(Bentota - Colombo: 1 hour and 45 min.; Colombo Airport 1 hour)
Transfer to Colombo, the capital, for a retrospective visit: Independence Square, the Galle Face waterfront and walk in the colonial area of Fort Colombo
Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport at the appointed time, where we will arrive 3 hours before our departure flight

Payment methods:
- Payment is 10% or 20% depending on the season (low or high), by bank transfer.
- The remaining 90% or 80% is always paid in cash or by credit card upon arrival in Sri Lanka or by bank transfer.
Cancellation policy:
Up to 30 days before the start of the trip, 100% of the deposit is refunded if a trip cancellation occurs,
withholding the amount of $100 per person for agency fees.Between 29 days and 15 days before the start of the trip there is a penalty of 50% of the deposit amount.
In case of cancellations in the 14 days preceding the trip, no deposit will be refunded.
Note on cancellations:
- All cancellations have an additional administrative cost of 100 USD per person.
- In case of cancellation due to COVID-19, cancellations will not suffer any penalty.
