SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- PADI open water or equivalent for diving below 20m.
- Discover Scuba does not require certifications. Experience can be used for additional guided dives or diving courses.
- A dive computer and a signaling buoy (SMB) are recommended. These can be hired based on availability.

In addition, every day local divers are discovering new diving spots, finding new wrecks covered in corals that give rise to spectacular marine life.

Seasonal diving
This is a diving tour from November to April.
Along the entire West Coast and the Southwest of the country, there are many dives available for those who are passionate about the seabed.
We present you an 11-day itinerary for diving in the area of Negambo, Colombo and Galle. It will be a pleasure for you to dive among hundreds of porgy or see the impressive snappers, Napoleon fish, huge rays, horse mackerels or groupers.

Day 1 Airport - Negombo
(Approximate transfer time: 20min)
Meet and greet at Bandaranaike International Airport by our driver-guide and transfer to the hotel in Negambo.
Rest of the day is for relaxation and rest.
Negambo is a coastal town with many restaurants where you can taste different dishes of traditional Sri Lankan and international food.
In addition, Negombo has a beautiful lagoon with incredible mangroves where you can observe tremendous wildlife with many birds.
Day 2 Negambo: Scuba 2 dives - Optional: Ayurvedic massages
(Without major movements)
We will start our diving circuit at 7am.
For this we will travel by boat to the determined location to do, depending on the qualification, the following dives:
17-27 m: Wreck We Ling is the false name used by terrorists, known as A-522, was sunk on March 26, 2018 on an artificial reef and diving site. 8 bulletproof VIP cars (Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, defender, etc.) used by former Sri Lankan presidents were sunk with the buckets of the cars welded to the hatch.
Length 62 m. Width 8 m. Weight 850 tons. Depth of the sand bottom is 25 m, in the cars 26 m, from the top of the wreck is 18.
Ideal for nitrox enriched air.
It is an excellent fish breeding ground!
14 – 16 m: Good site for various levels of training dives. A very large reef with lots of exotic fish including lobsters, groupers, snappers, lionfish and many other things. A large growth of black whip coral is found on top of the reef along with anemones.
More than one dive is needed to fully explore.
And to complete this exciting day, afterwards, if you wish, you could receive an Ayurvedic massage session, a practice that dates back more than 2,000 years and is based on applying oils extracted from medicinal plants.
Day 3 Negambo: Scuba Diving
(Without major movements)
We will continue diving in the Negambo and Colombo areas.
Day 4 Negambo - Colombo - Mount Lavinia shore dives
(Approximate transfer duration: 1h)
Transfer to the south coast via Colombo. If you wish, you can take a retrospective tour of the capital, seeing the most significant places such as the Fort area, the Galle Face Green, the port, etc.
It is also a good opportunity to try the excellent seafood restaurants in the area.
19-29m: The newest boat to sink in Colombo, the Maldivian Medhufaru (formally AL TAREK of Malta) was sunk with a pair of backhoes on deck! Sitting perfectly upright is an amazing dive full of batfish, lionfish and other schooling fish. The boat still looks brand new!
0-23m: The Cyprus owned wreck Thermopylae Sierra was stationed in the outer anchorage of Colombo for over 3 years as a result of a wage dispute between the owners, workers and Sri Lankan ports. Neglect took its toll and eventually on 23rd August 2012 she sank. A fantastic dive on a unique wreck that is caught between two worlds…
Day 5 Mount Lavinia: More exciting dives

We will continue diving in the Negambo and Colombo areas.
Day 6 Coral Reef Diving and Shipwreck in Unawatuna - Unawatuna
(Approximate transfer time: 30min)
Dive the Earl of Shaftesbury. It sank in 1893 off the coast of Hikkaduwa. This Rangoon is at a depth of 15 metres spread across a sandy, flat terrain, providing an absolutely fantastic, fun and easy dive.
Take the opportunity to enjoy the schools of fish and hard and soft corals and see the large manta rays, groupers, small schools of snappers, lionfish and porcupines. This wreck provides some amazing panoramic shots
Day 7 Coral Reef Diving and Shipwreck in Unawatuna
(No car travel)
Today we will be visiting one of the reefs with exceptional marine life:
Di Diymba Kupotha: Also known as “Napoleon Reef”, at a depth of 20 m, with a good chance of seeing large Maori wrasses and potato cod.
Rest of the day free for relaxation.
Day 8 Coral Reef Diving and Shipwreck in Unawatuna
(No car travel)
At a depth of 24m, a wreck popular with local divers and mistakenly known as the “Tango Wreck” is probably the SS Orestes which sank in 1875.
Day 9 Coral Reef Diving and Shipwreck in Thalpe
(Approximate transfer time: 30min)
Thalpe Rock at just 18M is a beautiful rock formation in the southern seas of Sri Lanka stretching from east to west. While you may see some large fish and large schools of fish. This site is best known for its coral and abundance of macro subjects.
Day 10 Unawatuna: Relax on the beach - Galle Fort
(Approximate transfer time: 20min)
We will spend part of the day resting and relaxing.
In the afternoon we could visit the Galle Fort.
This walled fort bordering the sea is the best preserved colonial historical centre in the country. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful place ideal for walking under the shade of trees or by the sea. In addition, there are many cafes, restaurants and shops where you can find the most select products in the country.
Day 11 Unawatuna - Airport
(Unawatuna - Airport: 2h)
Free until transfer to the airport at the agreed time. At Bandaranaike International Airport you must be 3 hours before your flight departure.

Payment method:
- The payment method in EUROS is 10% or 20% (depending on whether it is low or high season) by bank transfer to a bank account in Spain.
- The remaining 90% or 80%, also in EUROS, is paid in cash upon arrival in Sri Lanka or by international bank transfer to Sri Lanka.
- If you wish to pay by international bank transfer, this amount will be increased by 5% for bank charges.
Cancellation policy:
- Up to 30 days before the trip, 100% of the deposit is returned if the trip is cancelled.
Between 29 days before and 15 days before the start of the trip there is a penalty of 50% of the deposit amount. - Cancellations made within 14 days before the trip do not have a refund of the deposit.
