Meet and greet at Bandaranaike International Airport by our Representative and transfer to Mirissa Beach. Rest of the day free to enjoy the beautiful beach and relax after your journey.

Today we will take a boat safari through the mangroves of Lake Koggala. We will disembark on a couple of islands in the river. On one we will visit a Buddhist temple and on the other we will visit Cinnamon Island with an explanation of the process of cinnamon from the tree to our table. We will then visit a turtle farm to see how they care for the turtles when they are sick and how they protect their eggs until they reach the sea.

Free day to enjoy the beach. Optional: Whale watching. Whale watching is very early in the morning (around 6am). You can see blue whales, sperm whales, Bryde's whales and fin whales that migrate through southern Sri Lanka. It is also possible to see several species of dolphins that migrate from early November to the end of April each year approximately.

Transfer to Udawalawe, to see the Elephant Transit Home or Elephant Orphanage up close. This is a transit place for orphaned baby elephants found in the jungle. We will see how they are fed and cared for. Return to the hotel on the beach for rest and relaxation.

Galle Fort is a walled city bordering the sea and is the best preserved colonial historical centre in the country. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in Sri Lanka. It is an ideal city to walk under the shade of trees or by the sea. Return to the hotel on the beach. Free afternoon to enjoy the beach.

Free day to enjoy the beach. Optional visits: Matara Temple - The curious thing about this temple called Paraviduwa is that it is on an islet connected to the mainland by a suspension bridge. Kudawella blower (In Sinhala Hummanaya) - a natural water blower that every few minutes brings up water from the sea. Sometimes the rises can reach 30 meters.

Free day to enjoy the beach. Optional Visit: Dondra Lighthouse - This lighthouse was built by the British and the paradox is that all the materials for its construction were brought from England and Scotland. Construction began in 1887 and was completed in 3 years. It has 7 floors and is 47 meters high, but it is not allowed to climb up. This lighthouse, like the one in Galle, is still in operation.

Free beach time until transfer to the airport at the agreed time. At Bandaranaike International Airport you must be there 3 hours before your flight departure.
