Sri Lanka 10 Days with 08 rounds of Golf
“Be a recreational Golfer or a serious Golfer, this covers 3 Golf Courses in Sri Lanka with optional visits to choose for the golfers or non-golfers while touring Sri Lanka”
This tour gives you the opportunity to play three Golf courses which includes some of the world oldest Golf Course and the Victoria Golf Course in Kandy which is ranked in the top 100 of ‘Most Beautiful Courses in the World” and named “Best in Asia” in 2005 by Asia Golf Magazine.
Day 1. Airport – Kurunegala - Kandy (Digana) - Victoria Golf and Country Resort.
(Approximate transfer time: 3 hours)
Our representative will be in the Airport to meet and greet you and to transfer you to Victoria Golf and Country Resort in Digana, Kandy. This journey will take approximately Three hours. We will have a short stop over for some refreshments en route to the Resort.
Arrive at the Resort to rest. Leisure
Day 2. Kandy (Digana) - Victoria Golf and Country Resort
Experience a Golf round in course which is ranked in the top 100 of ‘Most Beautiful Courses in the World” and named “Best in Asia” in 2005 by Asia Golf Magazine.
Day tour to Sigiriya with following visits
Sigiriya Rock: Climb the Sigiriya Rock, which is an ancient rock fortress. This site is been proposed to UNESCO to make the 8th Word Wonder.
Dambulla Cave Temple: Visit Dambulla cave temple complex, which is the largest of that kind in Sri Lanka.
Walking, cycling, horse riding and Hiking to an ancient mountain temple
Day 3. Kandy City – Peradeniya - Ramboda Falls - Nuwara Eliya
(Approximate transfer time: 3 hours)
Kandy City Tour and the Temple of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha.
Here you can see some of the rarest plants. This 147 acre Royal Botanical Garden dating back to 1371.
On the way to Nuwara Eliya (2,000 m) we will observe extensive tea plantations and stop for a moment to see the Ramboda waterfalls.
Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England” has a proud history with the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, which dates back to 1889, believed to be one of the oldest Golf courses in the world. Play a round Golf at this famous Nuwara Eliya Golf Club.
Day 4. Nuwara Eliya
Tee of early in the cool breeze at eh Nuwara Eliya Golf Club.
World’s End: A visit to Horton Plains National Park. World’s End is a sheer cliff with a drop of about 4000 feet and it is a beautiful 9.5 Km trekking track which will take about three hours to treck.
Tea Factory: Visit a tea factory and see to yourself how the famous Ceylon tea is produced.
Day 5. Nuwara Eliya – Ella - Hambanthota
(Approximate transfer time: 3 hours)
Leave to Ella via Bandarawela. Ella is a tiny town with a popular train stop and beautiful view. There are many restaurants to chill out.
Play a round of Golf at the Shangri-Las’s Golf Resort & Spa, which is the latest addition to the Golf courses in Sri Lanka, set amid a large coconut palm plantation.
Day 6. Hambanthota
Play a round of Golf during the day at the Shangri-Las’s Golf Resort & Spa.
Yala National Park: An early in the morning or an afternoon tour at the Yala National park in a Safari vehicle. Yala is a home to wildlife such as Leopards, Elephants, Deers, Crocodiles and many Bird species.
Day 7. Hambathota – koggala / UNAwatuna
(Approximate transfer time: 2 hours)
Leave to Koggala / Unawatuna and check in at a beach hotel
Relax and overnight stay at the Hotel Koggala / Unawatuna.
Diving, Snorkeling, Whale & Dolphin watching: If you are a diver there are few interesting diving points to explore or even some snorkeling can be done and if the season is correct Whale & Dolphin watching will be a good option.
Day 8. Unawatuna
In the morning you can play a round of golf at the Catalina Golf course which is a nine hole golf course around the Koggala domestic air strip.
Visit the Galle Fort, a famous attraction in down South of Sri Lanka. Galle Fort was first developed in the 1500s and later taken controlled by Dutch and British and now a well preserved area to chill out.
Day 9. Unawatuna – Colombo
(Approximate transfer time: 2 hours)
In the afternoon play a round of Golf at the Royal Colombo Golf Club, Sri Lanka’s oldest Golf Course which dates back to 1880 and also one of the oldest courses in the world.
Dinner out: There are many places where you can try various type of food and chill out until late.
Day 10.Colombo - Airport
(Colombo - Airport: 40min)
Colombo is the Commercial hub of Sri Lanka, where you can visit some interested places and see some colonial buildings. You can also do some shopping if interested.
In the afternoon leave to Airport for departure.
