Daily Itinerary
Welcome to Bandaranaike International Airport! Upon your arrival, our Sri Lanka Eden Travel Representative. They will be there to assist you throughout your journey. From there, you will be comfortably transferred to Sigiriya, with a pleasant stop in Kurunegala town to enjoy a relaxing stroll around the lake and some refreshments. Afterward, you will check in at your hotel in Sigiriya, ready to unwind and begin your adventure!

In the early morning, climb Pidurangala Rock to enjoy stunning 360-degree views, including a clear sight of Sigiriya Rock. Then, in the afternoon, enjoy a safari in Minneriya National Park, where hundreds of elephants gather around the lake to eat and drink—especially from June through September.

Sigiriya Rock, dating back to the (5th century AD), is a place of extraordinary beauty suitable for both children and adults and is considered one of the eight wonders of the ancient world. Experience rural life through fun tuk-tuk rides, canoe crossings, and ox-cart journeys, where you can also learn about local cooking traditions.

The Golden Temple of Dambulla, dating back to the (1st century BC), is located in a large cave housing up to 153 statues of Buddha. Surrounding the temple are beautiful rice fields, coconut trees, and friendly monkeys. You can also learn about spices grown from local plants and trees. Additionally, visit the Sri Muthumariamman Hindu Temple in Matale, built in 1852 for tea workers from South India.

In the morning, take a trip to Hantana, the scenic mountains south of Kandy city, where you can explore tea fields and observe local life. In the afternoon, visit the Sri Dalada Maligawa, also known as the Temple of the Tooth of Buddha, a relic that has held great importance in Sri Lankan culture since ancient times. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city, including its lake and market.

Arriving early at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage allows you to experience the largest captive elephant reserve in the world. It is enjoyable for both children and adults to watch dozens of elephants parade through village streets and bathe in the river. Afterward, you can go rafting in Kitulgala for about two hours, covering 7 kilometers and navigating 8 exciting rapids. An interesting fact is that Kitulgala was the filming location for the classic movie "The Bridge on the River Kwai" in (1957).

Journey to Nuwara Eliya, located at 2,000 meters above sea level, where you can admire vast tea plantations and visit the beautiful Ramboda Waterfalls. Explore a factory that produces the renowned Ceylon tea. In Nuwara Eliya, take a stroll around Lake Gregory and observe the charming British colonial architecture. Finally, enjoy the scenic Tea Mountain Train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Haputale, a journey of over two hours winding through tea-covered mountains and dense forests.

Yala National Park is home to the largest concentration of leopards in the world, as they have no natural predators there. It offers an exciting safari experience where you can also see many elephants, crocodiles, buffaloes, black bears, and many other animals.

On the way, visit a turtle farm for a unique experience. Galle is the third largest city in Sri Lanka after Colombo and Kandy. Galle Fort is a walled city by the sea and is the best-preserved colonial historical site in the country. It is the most beautiful city in Sri Lanka, perfect for walking in the shade of trees or by the sea, with many cafes, restaurants, and shops. The rest of the day is free to relax in Thalpe.

If you have time before your airport transfer, you can take a quick tour of Colombo, the capital. Visit iconic spots like Independence Square, Galle Face Promenade, and the colonial district of Colombo Fort.Afterward, you’ll be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport, (Ensure you arrive at least 3 hours before your flight departure to allow for a smooth check-in and security process) We wish you a safe journey!
