day 1. Airport - Waikkal

(Airport - Negambo: 40 min)

Welcoming at the airport by our representative and transfer to the accommodation in Waikkal.

Rest. After such a long flight, we deserve a moment of relaxation in a great hotel.
This day is perfect to enjoying the beach and the accommodations, swimming in the pool, strolling along the beach or relaxing with an Ayurvedic massage.

day 2. Waikkal - Kurunegala - Sigiriya : Excursion Rural village - Dambulla

(Waikkal a Dambulla: 3 hours and a half. In Dambulla: 30 min. between different transfers)

It’s always nice to get out of the car, observing, feeling and start absorbing the smells and colours of a new country.
For this reason, on the way to the Hotel, we will make the first stop in Kurunegala.
We will stretch out with a walk and a snack along the lake shores, just like the Sinhalese do.

Optional activity

After check-in at the Sigiriya hotel we can dedicate the afternoon to rest or with the possibility of participate in a fun activity especially for the little ones: a visit to the rural village.
To reach this enclave we will take a fun tuk-tuk and we will cross a lake in a canoe.
We will return on a cart pulled by oxen as it was done until recently. Also, in this small town we will learn how they cook by participating in a small tasting of Sri Lankan food.

day 3. Dambulla - Sigiriya Rock - Safari Minneriya National Park - Dambulla

In the afternoon mounted on a four wheel drive, we will participate to this amusing Safari,

famous for the large herds of elephants that inhabit it.

day 4. Dambulla - Trincomalee - Koneswaram Temple - Trincomalee / Nilaveli beach

Visit the Hindu temple of Koneswaram in Trincomalee, dedicated to the god Shiva

Nilaweli beach

The east coast beaches are very similar to the neighbouring Maldives islands.
The long and exotic beaches of fine white sand, coconut trees and the electric blue ocean, invite you to relax and unwind.
So let’s enjoy a couple of days of the serene Indian sea breeze in Trincomalee or Nilaveli.

day 5. Trincomalee / Nilaveli beach - Pigeon Island Marine Park

(Approximate transfer 30 minutes by boat)

In the morning we will visit Pigeon Island National Park.
To do this, we will make a small boat transfer to one of the two islands that make up the park.
On this beautiful island you can snorkel to observe turtles, colourful coral fish, seahorses and much more!

day 6. Trincomalee - Dambulla Golden temple - Matale: Spice garden - Kandy

Spice Garden

Then we will have the opportunity to get to know a Spice Garden on the way to Kandy.

On this visit we will get to know the plants and trees with which the different spices are produced and we will discover their use in cooking and in the ancient natural medicine of Ayurveda

day 7. Kandy - Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage - Peradeniya Botanical Garden - Kandy

(Kandy - Elephant Orphanage: 1 hour; Elephant Orphanage - Garden: 1 hour; Garden - Hotel: 30 min)

We will arrive early at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
This centre was created to house injured or orphaned puppies found in the jungle.

It is the largest captive elephant reserve in the world.
Kids and adults alike will enjoy seeing dozens of elephants walk the city streets and bathe in the river!

Peradeniya Botanical Gardens

In the afternoon we will walk through the the Royal Gardens.

The Botanical Garden of Peradeniya (14th century) is considered one of the best visits to mythical Ceylon.
It is a huge park that runs along the Mahawelli River where we will admire the beauty of ancient trees, palm trees with strange shapes, Ayurvedic plants and the famous orchids collection.

day 8. Kandy - Ramboda waterfalls - Tea factory - Train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella

(Kandy - Nuwara Eliya: 2 hours and a half)

On the way to Nuwara Eliya mountain station (2,000m) we will observe extensive tea plantations and stop for a moment to see Ramboda waterfalls.

Later we will stop at a tea factory.
If you want to know how the famous Ceylon tea is processed, be sure to visit this factory where they will explain how the delicate tea leaves are processed.

Nuwara Eliya

In Nuwara Eliya, Little England as the British called it, you can admire old colonial buildings.
You can still breathe the atmosphere of that time.
An example of this is the Golf Club or the Hill Club.

Train from the station of Nanu Oya to Ella

Later we will travel by train from Nanu Oya station in Nuwara Eliya to Bandarawela.
It is more than 3 hours of winding journey between tea mountains and high forest.
The Sri Lankan railway network started operating in 1864 and the old trains from that time are still preserved and run perfectly.

day 9. Ella morning free - Safari: Yala National Park - Tissamaharama

day 10. Yala - Weligama stilt fishermen - Turtle nursery - Ahangama

In Weligama you can stop to observe the fishermen on stilts famous for their curious way of fishing nestled on the water.

Transfer to Habaruduwa, where the whale watching boats leave.

On the way we will visit a turtle nursery.
Once again the children will have fun and learn about the varied fauna that this country has, but this time, with the friendly turtles.
In Ceylon we have 4 species of sea turtles: Green, Loggerhead, Hawksbill and Olive Ridley.

day 11. Ahangama - Safari: Koggala Lake - Galle Fort - Ahangama

(Ahangama - Lake: 20 min., Lake - Galle Fort: 40 min.)

Today we will take a relaxing boat trip on Lake Koggala with the sound of birds playing in the background all the time.
In this place you will also visit an island that has a Buddhist temple and a cinnamon farm.

Galle Fort

Galle is the third most important city after Colombo and Kandy.

It was a Portuguese city in the 16th century and a Dutch city in the 18th century, the British also lived in the 19th and 20th centuries.

All these colonisers left an imprint, which is why it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Payment methods and cancellation policy

Payment methods:

  • Payment is 10% or 20% depending on the season (low or high), by bank transfer.
  • The remaining 90% or 80% is always paid in cash or by credit card upon arrival in Sri Lanka or by bank transfer.

Cancellation policy: 

  • Up to 30 days before the start of the trip, 100% of the deposit is refunded if a trip cancellation occurs,
    withholding the amount of $100 per person for agency fees.

  • Between 29 days and 15 days before the start of the trip there is a penalty of 50% of the deposit amount.

  • In case of cancellations in the 14 days preceding the trip, no deposit will be refunded.

Note on cancellations:

  • All cancellations have an additional administrative cost of 100 USD per person.
  • In case of cancellation due to COVID-19, cancellations will not suffer any penalty.
